EFERENCE
Packet Trace requires an IP address. Use the Internet
Firewall’s DNS Name Lookup tool to find the IP address of a
host.

Enter the IP address of the remote host in the
Trace on IP
address
box, and click
Start
.

Initiate an IP session with the remote host using an IP client,
such as Web, FTP, or Telnet.
Use the IP address in the
Trace on IP address
box, not a host
name, such as
www.3Com.com.

Click
Refresh
to display the packet trace information.

Click
Stop
to terminate the packet trace, and
Reset
to clear
the results.
Technical Support Report
The
Tech Support Report
generates a detailed report of the
Internet Firewall’s configuration and status, and saves it to
the local hard disk. You can then e-mail this file to Technical
Support to help assist with a problem.
Select
Tech Support Report
from the
Choose a diagnostic
tool
menu. A window similar to that in
Figure 27
is
displayed.
