Configuring LAN-to-LAN Routing
103
Step Five: Configure
the User PPP
Parameters
Use the following command to configure the user PPP parameters:
set network user <username> ppp
compression_algorithm <algorithm>
max_channels <maximum number of channels>
channel_expansion <at x percent load on current link>
channel_decrement <at y percent load on current link>
expansion_algorithm <linear or constant>
min_size_compression <0-2047 bytes>
reset_mode_compression <when to reset>
receive_acc_map <accm>
transmit_acc_map <accm>
1
Configure basic PPP parameters.
set network user <username> ppp
compression_algorithm <algorithm>
max_channels <maximum number of channels>
channel_expansion <at x percent load on current link>
channel_decrement <at y percent load on current link>
The recommended compression algorithm for dial-in users is AUTO,
which is the default value. The recommended compression algorithm for
dial-out users is Ascend, Microsoft, or STAC.
PPP max_channel value is “1” by default, which provides single-link PPP
operation. If you want MLPPP operation (bandwidth on demand),
increase this value.
