Field Description
Rem Node Name Enter a descriptive name for the remote node, e.g., ChangeMe. This
field can support up to eight characters.
Active
Press the space bar to toggle between Yes and No. Deactivated
nodes are displayed with a - (minus sign) at the beginning of the
name in menu 11.
Call Direction
Select Incoming, Outgoing or Both.
Incoming: Rem
Node Login Name Enter the login name that this remote node uses when it calls into
the Prestige. The login name in this field combined with the Rem
Node Password is used to authenticate the incoming calls from this
node
Incoming: Rem
Password Enter the password used when this remote node calls into the
Prestige.
Incoming: Rem
CLID
This field is active only if Call Direction is either Both or Incoming.
Otherwise, a N/A appears in the field.
Incoming: Call Back
This field is valid only if Call Direction is Both. Otherwise, an N/A
appears in the field.
Ougoing: My Login
Name
This is a required field if Call Direction is either Both or Out. Enter
the login name for the Prestige when it calls this remote node
Ougoing: My
Password
This is a required field if Call Direction is either Both or Out. Enter
the login name for the Prestige when it calls this remote node.
Ougoing: Authen
The Prestige supports two authentication protocols: PAP (Password
Authentication Protocol) and CHAP (Challenge Handshake
