4.2.1 Edit Settings
Click
Edit
in the main ISP screen to modify the settings. The configuration screen varies
depending on the encapsulation type.

Description
This read-only field displays the encapsulation type.
VPI
The valid range for the VPI is 0 to 255. Enter the VPI assigned to you.
VCI
The valid range for the VCI is 32 to 65535 (0 to 31 is reserved for local
management of ATM traffic). Enter the VCI assigned to you.
ATM Class
Select
CBR
(Continuous Bit Rate) to specify fixed (always-on) bandwidth for voice
or data traffic.
Select
UBR
(Unspecified Bit Rate) for applications that are non-time sensitive,
such as e-mail.
Select
UBRPlus
for non-real-time applications (such as e-mail). However,
UBRPlus guarantees service at least the MCR (Maximum Cell Rate).
Select
VBR
(Variable Bit Rate) for bursty traffic and bandwidth sharing with other
applications. Select
VBR-rt
(Variable Bit Rate - Real Time) for bursty traffic that is
intolerable of delays.
Encapsulation
Method
This information is provided by your ISP. Select the encapsulation method your
ISP uses.
Ether Filter Type
Specify what kind of Ethernet packets the Prestige allows through the WAN
connection.
Select
All
to allow all Ethernet packet types.
Select
Ip
to allow only IP or ARP related Ethernet packets to pass through.
Select
Pppoe
to allow only PPPoE Ethernet packets to pass through.
