perm anent IP hosts group, and 224.0.0.2 is assigned to the m ulticast routers
group.
IGMP (Interne t Group Management Pro tocol) is the protocol used to support
m ulticast groups. The latest version is version 2 (see RFC2236). IP hosts use
IGMP to report their m ulticast group m embership to any imm ediate -neighbor
m ulticast routers so the m ulticast routers can decide if a m ulti cast packet
needs to be forwarded. At start up , the P-6 6 0 RU -Tx v3 queries all directly
connected networks to gather group m embership.
After that, the P-6 60R U-Tx v3 updates the information by periodic queries. The
P-660RU -Tx v3 im plem entation of IGMP is also compatible with version 1. The
m ulticast setting can be turned on or off on Etherne t and rem ote nodes.

(2) Enable IGMP in P-660RU -Tx v3 's rem ote node in Web Configurator,
