P-660RU-Tx v 3 Series Support Note s

(2) TCP/IP configuration

Since the P-660 RU-Tx v3 is set to DHCP server as default, so you need onl y

to configure the workstations as the DHCP clie nts in the networking settings. In
this case, the IP address of the com puter is assigned by the P-660 RU-Tx v3 .

The P-660R U-Tx v3 can also pro vide the DNS to the clients via DHCP if it is
available. For this setup in Windows, we check the option

' Obtain an IP address

autom atically'

in i ts TCP/IP setup. Please see the exam ple shown below.

Set up your P-6 60 RU-Tx v3 under r outing m ode

The following procedure shows you how to configure your P-660 RU-Tx v3

as Routing m ode for routing traffic. We will use Web Configurator to guide
you through the related m enu.

(1) Configure P-660R U-Tx v3 as routing m ode and configure Internet

setup parameters in Web Configurator, Advanced Se tup,

Interface

Setup -> Internet -> Enca psulation.
