24. DISCONNECTING THE FAN

The sprayers ZM VRA and VCRA are equipped with gearbox with idle run and two gears. In
the first gear, the fan has lower rpm than in the second. The neutral gear is on, when the
handle is vertical- the fan is not rotating. The neutral gear is used while driving longer routes
and it is forbidden to drive with an operating fan, but we need the tank mixer.

Change the gears only when the P.T.O. is not working.

Disconnecting the fan

With disengaged P.T.O.

, turn the handle vertical.

The fan is not working when the P.T.O. is
working.

Connecting the fan

With disengaged P.T.O.

, turn the handle in

position 1 or 2 (shown on the sticker). If you
cannot turn the handle, turn the P.T.O. and try it
again.

Never change gears while the P.T.O. is

working.

25. SPRAYER LUBRICATION

Check the oil in the gearbox regularly because the load on
it is very high. The level of the SAE 90 oil can be checked
in the glass window on left side of it. The level should be
in the middle of the window. The oil can be refilled through
the hose above it.
After  the  first  200  working  hours,  it  is  recommended  to
change  the  oil.  Use  approximately  3  l of SAE 90 oil. The
next oil change is after the next 1000 hours.

Each 200 working hours, it is recommended to lubricate the bearings on fan axis.
Lubricate them also before each season.

26. CONNECTIONS FOR THE MEASURING EQUIPMENT

Pressure gauge test

For  the  pressure  gauge  test,  a  T  accessory  is  placed
between  the  pressure  gauge  and  the  pressure unit. On
the  free  end  of  the  accessory,  you  can  place  a  test
manometer  (unscrew  the  lid  on  the  side).  It  has  a  ¼"
coil.
