Adjust Low Fusing Porcelain Calibration
(800º C/1470º F or below)
1.
Press the “Special Functions” button. Turn the Silver Select Knob until display reads CAL
LOW FUSING.
2.
Press the “Next” button. The display will ask LOW OVERFIRES?
3.
Turn the Silver Select Knob to display either YES or NO. Selecting “yes” will allow you to
adjust for low fusing porcelain overfires. Selecting “no” will allow you to adjust for low fusing
porcelain underfires.
4.
Press the “Next” button.
5.
Turn the Silver Select Knob to enter a temperature to adjust. If “yes” was selected in the step
above, this value will adjust downward. If “no” was selected, this value will adjust upward.
6.
Press the “Next” button to accept the displayed value of adjustment.
Example: If your porcelain appears to be over fired by 25º, you would answer yes to question 3
above, then dial to 25º and
Press the “Next” button. Now, fire again. If your porcelain appears to be
under fired by 10º after making the 25º adjustment, you would again answer yes, then change the 25º
to 15º.
Note: The adjustments do not take effect until a Low fusing program is run. Once the furnace is
turned off the same program used to “Turn on” the adjustment previously must be run again to
reactivate the adjustment.
Adjust High Fusing Porcelain Calibration
(800º C/ 1470º F or above)
1.
Press the Special Functions button . Turn Silver Select Knob until display reads “CAL HIGH
FUSING”.
2.
Press the
“Next”
button. The display will ask “HIGH OVERFIRES?”
