CHANNEL TABLE

To  the  right  of  the  data  acquisition  parameters  is  the  Channel  Table  which  controls  which
channels are on, and the type of component connected to each channel.  The electrode locations
and  any  coil  serial  numbers  are  entered  here.    The  Channel  Table  also  displays  the  data
acquisition  results.    The  Channel  table  can  have  several  SCREENS  which  display  setup  and
results  data.    The  screens  for  each  of  the  programs  are  unique  to  that  program.    Though  many
contain  similar  data,  none  of  this  data  is  shared  between  programs.    The  SCREENS  can  be

selected by pressing

.

Each  program  has  special  requirements  for  how  channels  are  defined.    Some  programs  have
special  features  and  function  keys  that  automatically  update  locations  for  channel  electrodes.
See  the  each  program's  documentation  for  what  parameters  are  required  and  which  fields  are
automatically updated.

Enter channel parameters.  Some examples are:

Note:    Refer  to  the  appropriate  Survey  Program  chapters  for  more  information  on  setting  up
channels.

Any designator other than

 OFF

will turn on channels for all programs.

 will toggle

individual channels Off and On when the cursor is in the component column of a channel.

For  TDIP  and  CR,  Offset,  N  or  direct  electrode  locations  can  be  used  to  locate  electrodes.
Special  features  automatically  update  electrode  locations  when  transmitter  and  receiver
locations are altered.

For CR, TDIP, and TEM,

 Ref

is the current reference channel and can be set to any single

channel.  Any designator other than

 Ref

can be used for the rest of the channels.
