PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS
Zodiac Transport comes with a simple, user-friendly programming, see the Quick Guide
page. 53 and the chapter “Basic Operation” page 59.
The radio is fully programmable and can be tailored exactly to your needs. Below is a
description of programmable features. Contact your local dealer for more information.

Display
Choose to display the channel number, frequency or channel name.
At delivery, the default setting is to display channel name.

Display Light
Choose between high or low intensity of the backlight.
At delivery, the illustrations set to high intensity.

Key beep
This feature provides a ton each time a button is pressed, a function is activated or an error
occurs. Select between “Off” or “On”
At delivery, the default setting is key beep “Off”.

Time out timer (TOT
)
TOT is the function that prevents from locking up a frequency by prolonged keying of PTT.
The time-out timer limits the amount of time you have to transmit your message. When you
reach the time limit, your transmission will be cut off. In order to transmit again, you must
push PTT button to reset the timer.
You can choose to have the feature disabled or set to a time between 1 and 30 minutes.
At delivery, the feature turned off.

Automatic Power Off (APO)
APO is a feature that allows the radio to turn off automatically if no button are pressed or
no signals are received within the set time.
You can choose to have the feature disabled or set to a time between 30 minutes
At delivery, the feature turned off.

Busy channel Lockout (BCLO)
When BCL is activated,you can not transmit in busy channel.BCL prevents you from
interfering with other parties who may be using the same channel that you selected.
You can choose to have the feature turned off and the two variants of BCLO:
• BUSY: The transmission is blocked when there is a carrier corresponding to the
selected channel.
• REPEATER: The transmittion is blocked when there is a carrier corresponding to the
selected channel, but where CTCSS / DCS tone is different.
