OPERATION

FIRST START-UP
CAUTION: Let the machine stand at room temperature for several hours before using it for the
ſTUVVKOG
01. Visual inspection of the milling unit.
02. Open the front plate
03. Deactivate the emergency shutdown switch by turning it.
04. Turn on the main switch (now turns green) and close the front plate. If the main switch does
not light up in a green colour, check the power supply.
05. To guarantee the correctness of the parameters and the precision of the milling results,
calibrate the milling unit according to the enclosed maintenance plan after installation.
06. The milling unit is now ready for operation.
For dry milling: Remove the cover of the suction opening (p. 23, no. 12) and connect the suction.
NORMAL USE
Safety aspects
Titanium and other light metals may only be milled wet and the milling unit must not be

Insert all the tools into the tool magazine as far as they go. If the elaboration tool is not properly
inserted, this could lead to increased risks of injuries and faulty results.
Always wear security equipment
Before starting any operation with the milling unit, the following checks must be executed
in this order:
- Visual inspection of the protective casing for integrity and correct attachment.
- Functional check of the emergency switch: If the emergency stop switch is activated with the
main switch on (lights green), the lighting of the main switch and the interior lighting switches
off immediately.
- Functional check of the magnetic switch on the front plate: If the lighting colour in the interior
does not change to another colour when the front plate is opened, there is a defect and the
milling unit could start unintentionally even when the front plate is open. The device must not
be operated in this condition.
- Visual inspection of the milling chamber for possible damages and impurities.
