Check the engine oil level

WARNIN G

Never refill engine oil if the engine is running.

N OTE

Waste oils and fuel are toxic and must not be released into the environment!

Contact your local authorities for information on proper disposal.

NOTES:

Too low an engine oil level can cause engine damage.

•

To check the engine oil level, place the machine

on a flat surface. Stop the engine and wait five

minutes.

•

Unscrew the oil dipstick (1) from the oil filler

opening (2) and wipe it with a clean, lint-free

cloth or a non-linting paper towel.

•

Reinsert the oil dipstick (1) completely.

•

Remove the oil dipstick (1) and check the oil

level.

•

If the engine oil level is between the two mark-

ings (min. / max.), there is no need to top up the

engine oil.

•

If the oil level is low, add new engine oil (for en-

gine oil type and quantity, see technical data).

•

If the level is correct, screw the oil dipstick (1)

back in.

16.2.6

Check the hydraulic oil level

WARNING:

•

First lower all attachments to the ground and stop the engine.

NOTE:

Before refilling with new hydraulic oil, wipe

off dirt and sand around the filler opening.

Always use hydraulic oil of the identical type.

•

Place the machine onto a flat ground.

•

Extend every cylinder rod up to its centre po-

sition.

•

Lower the bucket to the ground.

•

Check the hydraulic oil level to verify that it is

at the centre mark of the sight glass (1) at

normal temperature (10°C-30°C).

•

Enough hydraulic oil is present if the oil level

lies between the markings.

•

If the hydraulic oil level is too low, sufficient

hydraulic oil must be refilled via the hydrau-

lic oil filler opening (2) before starting the en-

gine.

•

This is important to ensure the protection of

the hydraulic system.
