13 OPERATION
Only operate the machine in perfect condition. Inspect the machine visually every time it is
to be used. Check in particular the safety equipment, controls and screwed connection for
damage and if tightened properly. Replace any damaged parts before operating the device.
13.1 Information on initial start-up

Please note that the machine is delivered without motor oil and fuel. Make
sure that these operating fluids are filled before initial operation.
WARNING: The machine will not start until the motor oil has been filled up
to the maximum limit.
13.1.1 Test run initial start-up
 Let the machine run at idle for approx. 3 minutes.
 Pay attention to abnormal noises.
 Pay attention to the exhaust fumes (too black, too white)?
13.1.2 Notes for the first 20 operating hours
In order to optimise the life expectancy of your machine, you should follow these points:
 Take care of the engine for the first 20 hours of operation (this also applies to used
engines after comprehensive maintenance). This means lower speed and lower maximum
workload than during normal operation.
 Change the motor oil after the first 20 hours of operation.
13.2 Functions of components
ON-OFF-Switch: The ON-OFF-Switch must be in the ON position for the machine to
run.
The ON-OFF-Switch must be in the OFF position for the machine to
stop.
Recoil starter
handle:
It is located on the left side of the housing, directly in front of the
starter housing.
Fuel shut-off valve: There are two switching options:
 CLOSED: in this position you can maintain, transport or store
the machine.
 OPEN: use this position to run the machine.
Choke control: There are two switching options:
 CLOSED
 OPEN
Gear selection lever: The gear selection lever has 4 positions:
3 forward speeds and 1 reverse for both at high and low speed.
To change speeds, move the gear selection lever to the desired
position. Always release the clutch control lever before changing
gears.
High/Low speed
shifting handle:
Regulates the motor speed. The following shifting options are
available:
 High speed mode is preferred in good driving conditions
such as good weather conditions and stable ground.
 Low speed mode : is recommended in unfavourable
weather conditions such as rain, ice and snow and on slopes.
Throttle lever: The throttle lever is used to regulate the speed of the machine:
 high speed =
 Low speed =
Clutch lever:  Squeeze the lever, clutch engaged.
 Release the lever, clutch disengaged
Right steering lever: Operate the lever to turn right
Left steering lever:
Operate the lever to turn left
Tipping handle: For tipping the dump.
