Before starting any cleaning and maintenance measures the device must
always be switched off at the main switch and the mains plug must be
disconnected.
It is extremely important to ensure that no moisture enters the
system/handpiece during cleaning. Do not use sprays.
If, during cleaning/disinfection, moisture penetrates the system, take the device
out of service, protect it from being used again and contact your service
representative.
Make sure that, when cleaning/disinfecting, the labelling of the device (such as
warnings, labels of control devices, identification plate) is not damaged.
The device and its applied part are considered as uncritical in relation to
hygiene due to the use on non-injured and healthy skin.
Note:
All application parts which can come into contact with the patient must be
cleaned upon initial use and before the first patient contact in order to remove
residues from production and packaging. The device housing as well as its
power cable do not come into the direct vicinity of the patient.

Cleaning
In the event of visible contamination, the housing and all applied parts can be
cleaned using commercially available alcohol-free plastic cleaners. Wipe the
surface until the dirt is removed, using a soft cloth soaked according to the
specifications of the manufacturer of the cleaning agent but not dripping wet.
Disinfection
We recommend that disinfection is to be carried out at least once a week, as
well as if there is any indication of contamination. Consult with the hygiene
specialist regarding this matter. Always perform cleaning prior to disinfection.
Perform disinfection using an alcohol-free conventional device disinfectant
suitable for plastic.
The housing and all applied parts can be disinfected using disinfectant wipes.
Use a commercially available alcohol-free disinfectant for metal and plastic,
with bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal properties. Observe the instructions
for use of the respective manufacturer. Wipe all surfaces using a soft cloth
soaked according to the specifications of the manufacturer of the disinfectant,
but not dripping, or with cloths pre-impregnated with disinfectant (wipes).
Also observe requirements for drying or post-cleaning, where applicable.
Note:
All applied parts of the device which come into contact with the patient must be
cleaned and disinfected after each use in accordance with the reprocessing
instructions. When using disinfectants, follow the instructions for use from the
respective manufacturer.
Caution: If flammable solutions are used for cleaning or disinfecting, sufficient
time must be allowed for the solutions to evaporate before using the system.
Otherwise, they may ignite.
