Descaling Your ZEPRESSO TREND
Drinking water varies according to region. The lime particles in tap water are deposited as
residues in the appliance and can block the piping and cause damage. To prevent this, the
appliance needs to be descaled at least every second month or if the output falls significantly.
ATTENTION:
Descaling must be done correctly to prevent damage. Follow these instructions.
The descaling process uses two full tanks of diluted scaling solution. Please make sure you use
a container large enough.
You may pause the descaling process to empty the container by; pushing button (1) to pause the
process and push it again to continue.
Never turn the appliance off during this process.
Never clean the appliance with vinegar. This causes damage and affects the taste of beverages.
Damage caused by incorrect descaling or failure to descale is not covered by the guarantee.
We recommend purchasing commercially available descaling liquid, diluted according to the
descaling product instructions.
CAUTION:
Beware of hot water and steam! Risk of scalding!

Fill the water tank ( J) to
MAXIMUM with diluted
descaling solution. Make
sure the descaling solution
is dissolved completely.

Make sure there is
no capsule inside
the appliance.
2.
Place a container under
the dispenser (C) large
enough to collect the
diluted descaling solution
and lime residues.

When the tank is empty
you will hear a single
“beep” sound. You can
now refill the water tank
( J) with more diluted
descaling solution. Fill
to MAXIMUM level.
7.
When you hear two “beep”
sounds. Release button (1).
The light will now be red.
The appliance is ready for
the descaling process.
8.
Push the button (1)
to start the pump.

Repeat steps 1 -11 with
two tanks of fresh water
(without descaling solution)
to clean the appliance.

Push the button (1) again.

The red light turns
blue when the
process is finished.

Turn on the main switch
(G) while holding
down button (1)

Turn off the main
switch (G).
5.
Press button (1) and
hold it pressed down.
13.
When the descaling
process is finished turn
the main switch (G) off.
