12.12 Fixation lamp

If the existing headrest has fixation lamp connections, you can
mount the fixation lamp as described below.

The fixation lamp allows indirect control of the patient's eye by
moving the unexamined eye in a defined viewing direction using
the fixation lamp. By turning the cover accordingly, you can use
two differently sized luminous points for fixation. The fixation lamp
flashes permanently as soon as the power supply unit is switched
on.

Assembly:

Prerequisite

The headrest cable must be connected to the power supply
unit.

Action

1. Carefully insert the fixation lamp from above onto the desired

fixation lamp connection.

2. Hand-tighten the sleeve nut.

3. Position the fixation lamp and, if necessary, turn the cover to

the desired position.

4. If not already done, connect the fixation lamp cable to one of

the two USB-A ports on the power supply unit or the optional
cable extension set.
