Operation of the Gas Mixer
The components must be assembled in the following order:
1.
Connect all tubing and cables.
2.
Apply 1 bar (14.5 psi) to the connected gas tubing.
3.
Switch on the Gas Mixer.
Not maintaining this order may lead to device malfunction or damage!
Do not place the Gas Mixer and the Humidifying Column on the microscope stage! The vibration
might disturb the measurement.
Connect as follows:
1.
Connect the power socket (Fig. 19/

) via the power cable with its country-specific plug to the 3-point
connector.
2.
Connect the Heating Humidifying Column electric socket (Fig. 25/
4b
) via the Heat Tubing Package cable
to the Gas Mixer Heater Plug (Fig. 25/

).
3.
Connect the Supply Tubing CO
2
(Fig. 25/
4a
) to the Input (1bar) CO
2
port and connect other end to an
appropriate CO
2
supply source, e.g. lab line or gas bottle (Fig. 25/
5a
). It is recommended to insert an air
filter (Fig. 25/
6a
) between the air supply and the Gas Mixer.
4.
Connect the Supply Tubing air/O
2
(Fig. 25/
4b
) to the Input (1bar) air port and connect other end to an
appropriate air supply source, e.g. lab line, compressor, or gas bottle (Fig. 25/

). It is recommended to
insert an air filter (Fig. 25/

) between the air supply and the Gas Mixer.

Connect the Supply Tubing N

) to the Input (1bar) N

port (Fig. 25/

) and connect other end
to an appropriate CO
2
supply source, e.g. lab line or gas bottle (Fig. 25/

). It is recommended to insert
an air filter (Fig. 25/

) between the air supply and the Gas Mixer. If N

is not needed, close the port with
the dead-end tubing N

Connect the Heat Tubing Package tubing with its white marked end (Fig. 25/

) to the white-marked
Output 1 port.

Connect the Heat Tubing Package tubing (Fig. 25/

) with its blue-marked end to the blue-marked Tubing
Connector input of the Humidifying column (Fig. 25/

8.
Connect the Heat Tubing Package tubing with the yellow-marked end (Fig. 25/

) to the yellow-marked
Output 2 port.
9.
Connect the Heat Tubing Package tubing (Fig. 25/
4a
) with its red-marked end to the red-marked Tubing
Connector ouput of the Humidifying Column.
10.
Connect the Heat Tubing Package tubing (Fig. 25/

) with its white connector to the hydraulic
coupling port of the stage top incubator (Fig. 25/

11.
Connect channels 1-3 of the Temperature Controller (Fig. 25/
9a, b, c
) to the TEMP supply line socket of
Lattice Lightsheet 7 (Fig. 25/

).
Do not connect channel 4. In addition, connect the electrical plug at the front of the Lattice Lightsheet 7
to the electrical socket of the stage top incubator (Fig. 25/
2a
).
