Important Siting and Application Considerations
ZyPer4K-M Equipment Type and Uses
ZyPer4K-M Intended Uses
•
Equipment is intended for the distribution of Audio Visual Information in and around
the Operating Room environment and throughout the medical facility.
•
Equipment is intended to distribute Human Interface and control information over the
same network as the Audio Visual information following the same or different logical
distribution paths.
•
Equipment does not generate video information itself, but accepts and distributes
video information from industry-standard devices which generate such audio visual
information.
•
Equipment is intended for the sophisticated display and presentation of decoded
information that has been distributed by companion ZyPer4K-M equipment.
•
Equipment is intended to be controlled from a central control node (the ZyPerMP)
which ties in to a customer control system for sophisticated presentation and
management of the information flow and direction.
ZyPer4K-M Products are non-patient care equipment
•
Equipment may not be used with life support equipment.
•
Equipment is primarily for use in a health care facility that is intended for use where
contact with a patient is unlikely (no applied parts).
•
Operators should refrain from touching the Signal Input Ports (SIP) or Signal Output
Ports (SOP) and the patient at the same time.
Degree of safety (flammable anesthetic mixture)
•
Equipment is not suitable for use in the presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture
with air or with oxygen or nitrous oxide.
Specifically excluded uses
•
Equipment is not intended for use for remote or robotically assisted surgery.
•
Equipment shall not be used near MRI equipment or any equipment generating
strong magnetic fields.
WARNING: The installer should test and validate a complete setup with
the actual devices before deploying to a final production installation.
WARNING: A backup system should be planned in the event of a failure
of the ZyPer4K system.
