Functional check
The respective functions must be tested on a trial basis during
the functional checks.
If faults are detected during the functional checks, the
components must be replaced in accordance with the spare
parts list ("Spare parts", p. 16).
Notes
The numbering of the following notes corresponds to the
position numbers in the illustration.
(31)
The automatic brakes of the castors must not touch the
wheel when the cage is in the lower position (position
B). The lift should be easy to move. The brakes engage
as soon as both stabilisers are folded out and the
cage is slightly raised (position A). If the brakes do not
engage, they must be readjusted (see F2).
(32)
The PPE mounting point must be firmly installed.
(33)
Check the balancer retraction force. The pull rope
must be engaged in the flat groove. The balancer lock
must be set to "UNLOCK".

(34)
The pull rope must be guided tautly, cleanly and
straight in the deflection rollers. The rollers must not
be worn.
(35)
Regularly check the force required to operate
the crank. To do this, remove the crank and apply the
torque wrench to the adapter. The force required must
not exceed 8 Nm (if this value is exceeded, the crank
force must be adjusted, see F5).
