Furthermore, no warranty is accepted for injury to persons and
property damage arising from one or more of the following:
• Improper use of the lift
• Improper installation and use of the lift
• Use of the lift with defective safety devices or with safety or
protective equipment which is not correctly attached or not
operational
• Lack of knowledge or disregard of these service and
maintenance instructions
• Insufficiently qualified or instructed maintenance personnel
• Improperly executed repairs
• Use of non-original spare parts
• Unauthorised structural modifications to the lift
• Inadequate monitoring of wear parts
• Catastrophes as a result of the influence of external
elements and force majeure
2 Inspection and maintenance
NOTE
Regular inspections may only be carried out by specialist
personnel.
The manufacturer's instructions must be followed. Annual
maintenance must be carried out in accordance with EN 280.
If shorter intervals are required in some countries, these
must be observed. This also applies to the affixing of the
annual inspection stickers prior to initial commissioning.

2.1 Attaching the annual inspection sticker
The annual inspection sticker must be renewed after each
inspection of the lift.
• Attach it to the corresponding month/year in which the
next inspection is due.
• Clean the yellow "next inspection" marking and allow it
to dry.
• After successful inspections in following years, remove
the attached inspection sticker and attach a new annual
inspection sticker.
1 Information about these
instructions
These maintenance instructions are only valid for the working
platform "LiftMaster U" and together with the operating
instructions (no. 21001762).
The term "lift" is used in these instructions.
These instructions must be available at the maintenance
location at all times and must be read, understood and
followed by all maintenance personnel.
If the lift is sold or passed on, these instructions must be
handed over to the new owner, if necessary in the new owner's
native language.

The copyright for these instructions remains with
the manufacturer. The manufacturer also reserves all rights
arising from this documentation, in particular in connection
with the granting of a patent or registration of utility patents.
Any infringement of the conditions described above will result
in liability for damages.
1.2 Warranty and liability
The scope, period and form of the warranty are stipulated in
the sales and delivery conditions. The instructions valid at the
time of delivery apply in the event of warranty claims resulting
from faults in the documentation.
