If the range selected cannot display the current reading, an “OUT OF RANGE” message is
displayed as shown below.

OPERATION
Each time the [RANGE] soft key is pressed, the 3200 hardware will change the current
conductance/resistance range. If measurements are currently displayed as conductance or
resistance, you will see the range change on the display. If, however, you are displaying
conductivity, resistivity, TDS or salinity, as you change ranges, the display will automatically
select the best resolution and the hardware range change will not be visible.

With the 3200 in manual range mode, 9.50 - 99.99mS range, the display is as follows:

If the [RANGE] soft key is pressed, the hardware switches to the 95.0mS - 2.99S range. The
conductance and resistance fields reflect the change, but the conductivity, resistivity, TDS and
salinity fields remain essentially unchanged.
