The controls on the display are IR switches. They respond as soon as an object, such as
a finger, is in close proximity. It is not necessary to apply pressure to the display surface.
NOTICE
Impairment of the display
If the device is operated for a longer period and is subjected to high temperatures or high
humidity in the process, the display may be impaired.

Observe the following instructions to ensure that the IR switches are functional:

Keep the display glass clean.
▶
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
▶
To increase the reflectivity of fingers (e.g. if they are very dirty) place some white tape
on the fingertip.
