O R I G I N A L I N S T R U C T I O N

Unscrew the fuel inlet cover. Remove the inlet filter and rinse it in extraction naphtha removing any contamination. Replace the

filter.

Emptying the chamber of the pump (XVIII)

Unscrew the drain valve cover. Let the water flow out of the chamber of the pump. Incline the pump so as to empty the chamber

of the pump thoroughly. Rinse the chamber of the pump with clean water in order to remove any contamination. The chamber of

the pump must be emptied after each use of the pump. It is prohibited to store the pump with a full chamber.

Storage of the pump

Proper maintenance before storage permits a longer and more reliable operation of the pump. Empty the fuel tank, for example

using a plastic fuel pump, available in retail. Start the engine and leave it idling until it turns off. It will clean the carburettor from

fuel residues. Wait until the engine has cooled down. Empty the chamber of the pump of water. Rinse the chamber with clean

water, eliminating all contamination.

Remove the sparking plug. Pour a spoonful of oil through the socket to the two-stroke engine. Pull slightly the starting cable a few

times, which will permit to distribute the oil in the combustion chamber. Install the sparking plug. Clean the housing.

The pump must be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, far from sources of ignition.

Restarting the pump

Remove the sparking plug. Pull slightly the starting cable a few times, which will permit to clean the combustion chamber from oil

residues. Refill the fuel tank. Execute the engine start procedure.
