PV Fuses
The SOLECTRIA XGI 1000
TM
is purchased with factory installed 15 A or 20 A fuses. See the label on the wiring box for fuse
size. 25 and 30 Amp fuses can be purchased separately and installed. Use Littelfuse SPF025 for 25 A fuses and SPF030 for
30 A fuses. Yaskawa Solectria does not supply fuses.
When using 30A fuses, never install PV inputs in two adjacent fuse positions.
NOTICE !
30A Fuse: When using 30A fuses, skip every other fuse position. Never install PV inputs in two adjacent fuse holders.
Doing so may result in overheating and damage to the inverter, and will void the warranty.
External Combiner Boxes
The SOLECTRIA XGI 1000
TM
is compatible with external combiner boxes when operating in Independent Mode ONLY.
The external combiner box MUST have four separate zones. The zone output conductors coming from the combiner box
must be landed on separate MPPT zone buses in the XGI 1000 Wire Box. Use proper ring terminals rated for the
conductor size and an M6 screw, as shown in Figure 3-19. Torque connections to 30 in-lbs (3.4 N-m) with a #2 Phillips
head torque driver.
