Password Settings: A1-04, A1-05
The user can set a password in parameter A1-05 to restrict access to the drive. The password must be entered to A1-04 to
unlock parameter access (i.e., parameter setting A1-04 must match the value programmed into A1-05). The following
parameters cannot be viewed or edited until the value entered to A1-04 correctly matches the value set to A1-05: A1-01,
A1-02, A1-03, A1-06, and A2-01 through A2-32.
Note:
Parameter A1-05 is hidden from view. To display A1-05, access parameter A1-04 and press

simultaneously.

Copy Function
Parameter settings can be copied to another drive to simplify parameter restoration or multiple drive setup. The drive
supports the following copy options:
•
Digital Operator (supplied with this product)
The digital operator used to operate the drive supports copying, importing, and verifying parameter settings. For more
information on the operation procedure, refer to
Operation Procedure of Copy Function (Digital Operator) on
for details.

USB Copy Unit
The copy unit is an external option connected to the drive to copy parameter settings from one drive and save those
settings to another drive. Refer to the manual supplied with the USB Copy Unit for instructions.
Note:
Connect the USB Copy Unit to the digital operator connector on the drive.

CopyUnitManager
The CopyUnitManager is a PC software tool. It allows the user to load parameter settings from the Copy Unit onto a
PC, or from the PC onto a Copy Unit. This is useful when managing parameters for various drives or applications.
Refer to the manual supplied with the CopyUnitManager for instructions.

DriveWizard Plus MV
DriveWizard Plus MV is a PC software tool for parameter management, monitoring, and diagnosis. DriveWizard Plus
MV can load, store, and copy parameter settings. For more information on the operating procedure, refer to the
operation manual supplied with the DriveWizard Plus MV software.

User Parameters 1 to 32
Function that automatically saves the parameters and settings
and allows the user to select the parameters that are used
frequently.
When A2-33 is set to “1”, the parameters and their values
edited recently are automatically selected for A2-17 through
A2-32 in sequence. (A2-01 through A2-16 must be set
manually.)
When A2-33 is “0”, automatic selection of edited parameters
is not performed. Users must register all parameters from
A2-01 through A2-32.

0: Do not save list of recently viewed parameters. (Parameters
A2-01 through A2-32 must be selected by the user.)
1: Save history of recently viewed parameters. (Recently
edited parameters will be saved to A2-17 through A2-32.
The most recently edited parameters are automatically
selected for A2-17. Those edited after the most recently edited
parameters are selected for A2-18 to a maximum of 16. When
the number of edited parameter exceed 16, the oldest
parameter will be deleted. This is utilized for the Set-up Mode.
