4. Transfer the firmware to the product
Note
Once the revision upgrade is started, never perform
any operation until the upgrade is completed and the
product is restarted.If the upgrade is interrupted, the
product may become unusable.In this case, you must
bring the product to YAMAHA for repair.
Once the revision upgrade is completed, the product
restarts automatically. When the product is restarted,
all communication is disconnected.
Never disconnect the LAN cable while the revision
upgrade is still in progress.Doing so may render the
product unusable, in which case you must bring the
product to YAMAHA for repair.
Follow the operating steps below:

Launch Command Prompt on a Windows
PC where the product has been permitted
to access the TFTP server (previous
page).
If you are using a Windows XP PC, click
Start
,
click
All Programs
, click
Accessories
, and
then select
Command Prompt
.

Enter and execute the following
command:
tftp -i [IP address of the product]
put [File name]exec
-i
Entry example:
tftp -i 192.168.100.101 put pjp_mc24.
bin exec
-i
The revision upgrade is started.
It takes several minutes before the product
is upgraded.
The ALARM, STATUS and CONFERENCE
LEDs turn on one by one while the product is
being upgraded.Do not turn off the power to the
product while any of the LEDs is lit.
Once the revision upgrade is completed,
the product is restarted.
In
Revision
of the
System Information
window,
confirm that the revision number has been updated.
