The displayed output level will be present when the instrument returns to
“Operate” status.
Displaying Mode Options
The menu-selectable modes always display a possible mode selection
available at that point, which is an opposite mode or mode change from what
is presently active in the instrument. To clarify the mode present with various
displays, refer to the following list:

Selecting “Operate” or “Standby”
In “Standby” mode the2000 instrument internally open circuits its output
terminals. This ensures you and the instrument itself are safe from current
and voltage. When the instrument is in the “Standby” state the characters
“Stby” are displayed at the
right-hand end of the display
.
When the
instrument is in the “Operate”
state then this area is blank in the display
format.

To change the mode from “Operate” to “Standby” (or vice versa):
Caution:
To avoid circuit damage when changing to the “Operate” mode,
check the displayed output level prior to selecting “Operate.” If the connected
external circuitry is incompatible with the selected output level, then this
circuitry could be damaged.

Press the MNU key. Depending on the mode, the display will show one
of the following:
< Select Operate > or < Select Standby >
