4.3 Printing Problems

4.3.3

Unable to Print from Macintosh

Description

The printer selected in the
Chooser window is not
displayed

An error message is
shown on the computer

Possible Cause

Is the printer switched off?

Is the Ethernet cable loose or
unplugged?

Is QuickDraw GX used?

Are the zone name and/or printer
name set correctly?

Is the Mac OS version MacOS
7.6.1 or later?
Is the OpenTransport version is
1-1.1.2 or later?

A printer error may have
occurred.

Solution

Press the "

" side of the power switch

to switch on the printer.

"1.2.1 Switching On"

Switch off the power of the machine,
unplug the Ethernet cable, and re-
connect it properly.

the Setup Guide

QuickDraw GX is not supported on
DocuPrint C621. Do not use
QuickDraw GX.

Zone name and/or printer name may be
changed. Consult your network
administrator and make sure that it is
set correctly.
You can check the current settings on
the Printer Settings List.

Make sure you are printing from a
computer that has the correct version
installed.

Refer to the error message and resolve
accordingly.
