7 Troubleshooting
Text is blurred. The paper used is not suitable. Load the correct type of paper.

The paper is damp. Replace with paper from a new ream.

Condensation may have occurred inside the printer. Using the control panel, set the
time the printer is in the power saver mode 1 to 60 minutes, and then leave the printer
switched on. The inside of the printer warms up and the condensation evaporates.
When the condensation has evaporated you can use the printer normally.

Missing characters throughout
the length of the paper The drum cartridge is not set correctly. Load the drum cartridge correctly.

The drum cartridge is defective or damaged. Replace with a new drum cartridge.

Text or images are printed at
an angle. The paper guides are not set in the correct positions. Set the paper guides in the correct
positions.

Transparencies and envelopes
are not printed clearly. The type of transparency or envelope loaded cannot be used in this printer. Load the
correct type of paper.

The Draft Mode feature is turned on and the resolution is set at a low level on the print
driver. Change the settings on the [Detailed Settings] tab of the print driver.
