Printing to the DocuColor 40 CP
You can print to the DocuColor 40 CP directly from UNIX. Jobs printed to the
DocuColor 40 CP are sent to the Print queue or Hold queue and can be manipulated
from Windows and Mac OS computers on the network using WebSpooler.
N
OTE
:
If you print to the Hold queue, an operator must intervene from WebSpooler
for the job to print; jobs sent to the Hold queue are spooled to disk and held.
The queue name and DocuColor 40 CP printer name are established by your system
administrator. Contact your system administrator for the names of your queues.
For information about setting up printing from TCP/IP, see your UNIX system
documentation.
Printing to the DocuColor 40 CP
You can use UNIX commands to print PostScript files and text files to the
DocuColor 40 CP. In general, the basic print commands (lpr, lpq, lprm) can be used
to send print jobs to the DocuColor 40 CP. See your UNIX manual pages or other
documentation for information about UNIX commands.
The DocuColor 40 CP queue name referred to in the following procedures is the
name defined in the
printcap
file by your system administrator.
N
OTE
:
Only PostScript or text file formats can be printed from UNIX.
