VoIP set endpoint displayname
7.14.1 Syntax
voip set endpoint <index> displayname <name>
7.14.2 Description
This command sets a name to be associated with an
endpoint. The name is usually set to be the
name of the person who will be using the phone. This
setting will be the information which is
displayed if CallerID is enabled and CallerID phones are
used.
This command is appropriate for SIP configuration only.
The setting of the display name is
configured on the MGCP Call Agent. See
Editing
Router.txt
on page 48 for more information.
7.14.3 Options
The following table gives the range of values for each
option which can be specified with this
command and a default value (if applicable):

VoIP set endpoint epname
7.15.1 Syntax
voip set endpoint <index> epname <epname>
7.15.2 Description
This command is used to configure endpoints. There are
a number of endpoints which are
configured automatically on a Voice-IAD system.
The hardware configuration file used in a Voice product
build, such as
voip-gateway,
assumes that
the hardware has two FXS ports and so will by default
configure two endpoints.
To display information about endpoints use the command,
voip list endpoints
on page 88.
7.15.3 Options
The following table gives the range of values for each
option which can be specified with this
command and a default value (if applicable):

7.15.4 Example
For MGCP, a typical command is:

For SIP, a typical command is:

123456
is the telephone number of the endpoint.
