Measuring Print Contrast Procedure

So far, you have performed the procedures to select the color
mode and measure paper. You are now ready to begin taking
measurements to monitor printing density.

To perform a print contrast measurement:
1.

If not selected, press the Tab Up key

or Tab Down key

Measure Solid

> appears in the

2.

Center the instrument target window over the solid patch
and lower the instrument to take a reading. The solid value
is updated and the display highlight advances to

3.

Center the target window over the 75% tint patch that
corresponds to the measured solid.

4.

Lower unit to target window and hold closed. Once data is
displayed, release the unit.
