For structural reasons, the feet of the posts must be aligned so that
the gusset plates point in the extended directions of the awning!
(see Item 2.4. Mounting situations)
The base must consist of a strong concrete slab or at least an
80x80x100cm (LxWxD) concrete foundation!
If significant differences make the safe installation of the awning
seem doubtful, please consult the manufacturer of the system and
a mounting/installation specialist.
Set up the feet of the posts vertically (if required, insert mounting
plates). Align the mounting plates.
If applicable, pull the power supply cable for the driving gear
through the tube of the foot before fixing the post feet.
Firmly connect the mounting plates with the base.
Insert the posts in the feet. Set up the posts so that the cross tube
inserts are aligned in the direction of insertion and the membrane
grommets point towards the outsides. Connect posts and foot with
hex-head screws, washers and nuts through the predrilled holes.
If applicable, pull the power supply cable for the driving gear
through the tube of the post before inserting the posts. For this
purpose, pierce or cut open the membrane grommet.
Drillings for posts/wall bracket:
Transfer the drilling outlines of the post feet to the determined
positions.
For structural reasons, fastening screws must be inserted in each of
the 6 drillings of the post mounting plates, respectively in each of
the 3 drillings of wall brackets.
Select the appropriate drill bit for the respective base material and
mounting method.
Carefully seal the transition between foot and post with silicone
joint.
Mounting of the wall bracket on thermally insulated facades:
Insulating plaster and full multi-layer thermal insulation are not pres-
sure stable. Therefore, it is necessary to use backing for the entire
surface, or at least distancers for the area around the screws.
The picture on the right illustrates one possible variant.
