Setting Up a SiliconDust
Determining Your Video Signal
For the HDHomerun extend unit to work, it must be compatible with the signal you are
providing it on the coaxial (
RG6
) cable. The compatible signal types are over the air digital
broadcast (
ATSC
) or unencrypted digital TV (
QAM64/256
).
Installing the SiliconDust
The SiliconDust installation involves 3 connections.
Coax Input (RG6) Cable from the antenna or head end system.
Ethernet (CAT6) Cable from a network switch.
Power from the wall

Connect all the above connections.

Power the unit on.
