Servicing, cleaning, maintenance
Before clamping components with the quick-change palleting system it is important to ensure
that no fragments or other foreign bodies are in the system. It is particularly important that
the hole for the locating bolt, and the contact surface, are clean.
6.1
General cleaning / lubrication
Lubricate the mechanical clamping elements on a regular basis depending on how often
the system is used. The description below applies equally to both clamping sections.
1. Release M5 threaded pin
-h-
2. Fully turn out the clamping screw
-i-
and pull it from the hole together with clamping
bolt
-k-.
3. Lubricate the thread and hole in the base plate with Molykote grease
4. Screw the clamping screw
-i-
into the clamping bolt
-k-
, retain the distance between the
clamping bolt and the shoulder of the clamping screw of approx. 11 mm.
8.
Insert the clamping screw with clamping bolt in to the hole in the base plate.
The guide groove of the clamping bolt
-k-
must be exactly at the top.
6. Turn the clamping screw
-i-
into the base plate, approx. 3 turns.
Note: clamping bolt
-k-
must not turn while turning the clamping screw.
7. Turn the M5 threaded pin
-h-
into the groove of the clamping bolt
-k-
up to its stop and then
release again by ¼ turn.
Check the correct depth of engagement of the screw: when the quick-change palleting system is
clamped, the clamping screw must protrude by approx. 0.5 – 2.0 mm from the base plate.
