SECTION 6 –
ELECTRICAL
6-14
Safety Recommendations
•
Do not disassemble any of the components of
the Pure
3
Power System.
•
Do not drive through flooded areas or deep
water.
•
Do not incinerate the Pure
3
Power storage
pack.
NOTICE
If a Volta energy storage pack is stored in
deep sleep in a low charge/low voltage
state (<49.72V) for an extended period of
time, permanent damage to the Volta
energy storage pack may result.
Neglecting system maintenance and
allowing a Volta energy storage pack to
come to this state will result in voiding the
warranty for the Volta energy storage
pack. Volta recommends leaving a Volta
system plugged into shore power during
storage.
NOTICE
Failure to turn off Volta pack will prevent
the pack from entering deep sleep mode.
Even with no loads on the system, and
assuming a fully charged pack, this will
cause the pack to deplete faster, in as
short as 60 days, which can cause
permanent damage to the Volta energy
storage pack. The depletion rate
accelerates further under cold conditions
when the automatic heater engages.
Allowing a Volta energy storage pack to
come to this state will result in voiding the
warranty for the Volta energy storage
pack. Volta recommends leaving a Volta
system plugged into shore power during
storage.
NOTICE
During the up-fit of the Pure
3
Power
System the chassis manufacturer’s drive
belt has been changed to accommodate
added charging equipment. The new belt
part number for the chassis is 6PK2185
and for the Pure
3
Power System is a
6PK1360.
