Operating manual
Step 1:
Put the door into the desired opening state. It is not possible to
open the door while the batteries are being replaced.
Step 2:
Deactivate the permanent release manually if permanent release is
active (see 9.3 Manual permanent release).
Step 3:
Use a screwdriver PH 1 to release the screw under the cover.
Step 4:
After removing the screw under the cover, pull the cover off the
door sash upwards at an angle.
Step 5:
Pull off the cover forwards (towards the handle) parallel to the door
sash, turn 90° and remove over the handle.
Step 6:
Remove the batteries.
Step 7:
Insert new batteries. Note the correct polarity.
Step 8:
Guide the cover over the handle (Illustration A), place it on the
carrier plate from above at an angle and press on at the bottom
(Illustration B).
Step 9:
Screw the cover to the carrier plate again with a screw.
Step 10:
Carry out a battery replacement with the programming device.
Required for the battery management to achieve the maximum
battery service life. (See programming device operating manual).
Step 11:
Carry out a test locking with an authorised identification medium.
Note!
Once the battery has discharged completely, the elec-
tronic door fitting can no longer be activated and the
batteries must be replaced. The electronic door fitting
does not have a power adapter function (via program-
ming device or active key). The battery warning mes-
sages (see 9.7 Battery warning messages).
Note!
The electronic door fitting retains the time for a
few moments after the used batteries are removed.
Because the battery management needs the counter
status since the last battery replacement, however,
the “battery replacement function” should always be
carried out with the programming device after replac-
ing the batteries, during which the time is synchronised
and the counter status since the last battery change is
reset.
