3. Electroforming bars
Bars should always be electroformed with a
layering thickness of 0.2 mm or more.
A thickness of 0.3 mm is recommended.
Enter the thickness and either the surface area of the bar
in mm
2
or the weight on the keypad. Press "C" to correct
individual inputs. The weight determined by the unit is
displayed. Confirm the entry by pressing "Ok" to display
the "Possible weight". This is the weight calculated by
the unit on the basis of the power levels which is closest
to the determined weight (see bar table page 32).
Press the
"Continue"
button as described in section
2.4.2. to return to the input menu. You can select other
positions here if required. As well as the unit automati-
cally determining the power levels at contacts 6, 7 and 8
you also have the option of selecting the power levels
individually. Using the bar table you can set the required
bar weight on each of the contacts by selecting the
individual power levels (see page 32).
Press button 6, 7 or 8 in the
"Overview" menu to call
up the "Tooth type + layer thickness" menu
.
Here you can determine the individual bar settings such
as different power level or layering thickness.
Depending on the weight of the bar you can also switch
off individual bar positions (6, 7 or 8).
If you do this you cancel the automatic weight allocation
and the last settings entered by the operator are valid.
3.4.3. Assembling the electroforming cell
Press the
"Continue"
button as described in section
2.4.3. to call up the "Execute tasks" menu to assemble
the electroforming cell or press "Overview" to return to
the "Overview" menu.
3.4.4. Starting the unit
After you press the
"Start"
button the unit begins to
check the individual contacts in the same way as
described in section 2.4.4.
If there is no contact error or if you pressed the
"Ignore"
button in the "Check contact" menu, the heating phase
will start in the same way as described in section 5.8.4.
