14. Gas supply system installation

If the gas supply pressure not in the required range which indicate in

chapter 2, the cutting quality and torch consumables life may be affected.
If the gas not pure, or the gas leak:

●

cutting speed will be reduced

●

cutting quality will get bad

●

cutting capacity will be reduced

●

consumables life will get shorter

1)

Set the gas regulator pressure

All the gas and gas regulator need prepared by user, please use good quality 2 section gas
regulator install within 3m away from the gas console. Gas and gas flow please refer to the
“System gas supply requirement”.

① Make sure the plasma power source is powered off, set all the gas regulator pressure to
0.83MPa.

② Turn on the plasma power source power.

③ After blowing and clean the gas console, press knob “7”, select preflow (indicator on),
system start to blow.

④ During blow process, adjust the gas regulator to make Shield gas pressure to 0.83MPa.

⑤ Press the knob “7”on manual gas console, select the cutflow (indicator on), system start
to blow.

⑥ Adjust the gas regulator to make plasma gas pressure to 0.83MPa.

⑦ Press the knob “7”to select “RUN” (indicator on).

Gas regulator requirements

Bad quality gas regulator is not able to supply stable gas pressure, which will cause bad
cutting performance and system error. If use low temperature liquid gas or cylinder gas,
please use good quality sectional gas regulator, if use high pressure cylinder gas, please use
good quality 2 section gas regulator.

3)

Gas supply pipelines setting

Make sure all the gas hose, connectors and parts suitable for O2 and “Argon

Hydrogen” ( H2).
