Grounding type
① Safety (PE) or protective grounding.The type is applied to grounding system of lead-in
voltage, to avoid electrical shock by equipment of CNC table. It includes grounding that
connect to plasma cutting machine system and others system (CNC controller, motor driver),
also auxiliary ground rod connect to CNC cutting table.
② Cutting current grounding. It’s a grounding system to finish the cutting current from
plasma torch back to plasma power source route. Use a suitable cable connect the positive
pole lead (lead out from plasma power source) to cutting table ground cable reliably.It is also
necessary to install laths on the work-piece frame to make the cutting machine in good
contact with the work-piece.

Installation measurements
① The cutting table use COM connection or Star Wired tree connection. Weld the stud with
copper bus bar to the cutting table. If there driving motor on every rack tail, install a separate
bus bar on the bench and close to drive motors. Lead a separate EMI grounding cable from
the drive motor to the bench bus bar. the cutting torch lifting body and the manual gas
console both need to connect the EMI grounding cable to the cutting machine grounding bus
separately.
② The grounding rod should be installed within 6 meters of the cutting table, to comply
with national and local electrical regulations.The PE grounding cable needs to be connected
to the grounding bus or equivalent potential cable located on the cutting table. All PE
grounding cables are yellow and green wires.
③ For better shielding,well connect the cutting machine CNC cable, serial communication
signal cable ,multi branch connecting cable and other parts of CNC system, to shield the
possible interference signals to the greatest extent.
④ All hardware used for grounding system must be made of brass or copper. Except the
studs welded on the cutting table which used to install the grounding bus can be made of
steel. No any aluminum products is allowed to use.
⑤ If distance is long, the positive, negative wire and pilot arc wire must be bound together.
The power and signal cables shall be installed in separate wireways if available.
⑥ Try to install the high-frequency box as close as to the cutting torch. And a separate
grounding cable on the HF box should be connected to the bus bar of the cutting table.
⑦ Each parts, and other CNC or motor driver should have a separate earthing cable on the
cover, to connect COM port on cutting table(Star Wired tree connection).
⑧ Connect the shield of torch conductive wire to the HF box and torch well. It must insulate
