Figure 4-13 Install plasma torch

① Install the torch (already connected with torch cable) onto the torch holder.

② Hold the lower part of torch sleeve with holder, but don’t contact the quick removal
connector. The tray should be as lower as possible to reduce the torch shake.

③ Fix the screw.

④ Test the vertical of the torch and work-piece, like Figure 4-13.

Requirements for the torch lifting body

The cutting system requires a good quality electric torch lifting device, which should have
203mm stroke and max.5080mm/min constant speed with good brake function.

14.Fulfil the coolant of plasma power source

Improper coolant use may cause damage of the machine, detail refer to the
“torch coolant requirement”chapter.

Don’t fill too much coolant.

For different torch cable length and the HF box installation distance, the coolant require
capacity is 20-35L, the coolant tank capacity is 20L, fulfil the coolant as following steps when
first use:

Step 1: Full fill the tank with coolant.

Step 2: Power on the plasma power source, Error code “060” (Coolant not enough) maybe
appear on manual gas console. Then press Knob “8” on manual gas console, after 5s, enter
“Manual pump” status, pump start working. The digital meter will display the coolant flow
value. After coolant flow back to normal (higher than 2.3L/min), release Knob “8”.

Note: if the cooling pipelines in composite cable is too long, Error code “110” maybe appear during
“manual pump” process, and pump stop working. Cut off the plasma source power and do step 1 and 2
again, until back to normal.

Step 3: Turn off the plasma power source, fulfil the coolant tan.
