The Brush Cutter
Working with the Brush Cutter
Wear solid shoes and eye protection, the cutter blade may throw loose
objects into the air quite violently.
Use the brush cutter only with attached safety hood. Mounting the safety
hood is described in the description of the string trimmer.
Only cut at high engine speeds.
Use the unit only for its intended use, i.e. for cutting brush and weeds.
Never lift the cutting head higher than your knee during operation.
On slopes always work with the cutting head facing uphill.
Attaching the Brush Cutter Blade
Always separate the brush cutter attachment from the motor unit before
undertaking any assembly or maintenance!
The drive shaft is equipped with
left hand threads
. Use one of the included
hex keys to arrest the driveshaft. Insert the key from the side through the hole
in the protective sleeve of the shaft. Attach the brush cutter blade with the
included flanges. The included brush cutter blade is sharpened in both
directions and therefore can be mounted inversed when worn. After both sides
are worn, sharpen the blade or have it sharpened.
