Trim the hedge to a trapezoidal shape cutting from the bottom to the top.
Round the top edges of the hedge.
Finally trim the bottom edges back. Appropriately dispose of cut materials.
Maintenance after each Use
ATTENTION! Detach the hedge trimmer attachment from the motor unit
before cleaning or maintaining.
Always wear gloves when handling the cutting bar.
Cleaning the Cutting Bar
Remove dirt from the blade bar with a scrubbing brush or a small hand broom.
To remove rosin residues, mix some paraffin and engine oil and wipe off the
blade bar (mixture ratio Paraffin : Engine Oil = 50 : 50).
Lubricating the Blade Bar
Preferably lubricate the blade bar every 4 hours of operation. Lightly loosen
the bolt at the rear side of the blade bar and apply a few drops oil into the
opening. Re-tighten the bolts and nuts.
