The brown/white lead for disabling the parking aid is switched to earth for connected towed vehi-

cles and is only suitable for parking aids which may be deactivated by an activated earth. Further

information may be obtained from your workshop.

As illustrated in the wiring plan, all other wires are to be worn away at the respective vehicle wires

with cutter connectors.

You must ensure that the cutter connectors are installed by a qualified person. The wire connectors

should be locked away in the wires after the cutting. If the line cross section of the vehicle's lines are
not between 0.75 and 1.0 mm

then different cutter connectors to those supplied should be used.

Functional test:

Re-connect the earth wire to the battery.

Check that the electronic installation is functioning properly. A towed vehicle or a suitable testing

instrument with load resistance must be used for testing the electronic installation. The control unit

may malfunction if a testing instrument without load resistance is used.

If an electronic installation is attached to a vehicle with two rear fog lamps, then the towed vehicle

should also be equipped with a second rear fog lamp, thus avoiding an error message from the
check control system.

Towed vehicles which are to operated with this electronic installation must have a rear fog lamp.

This must be retrofitted if it is not on the towed vehicle.

The continuous plus extension set for the 13 pin electronic installation is available in specialist

shops under the Westfalia parts no. 300 025 300 113.
