IMPORTANT:

For some specially designed bins, a heavier wall sheet may be provided for the discharge 

opening. This will be noted in the special manual accompanying the bin. For these cases only, a side draw 
reinforcing sheet will not be provided.

 

SIDE DRAW REINFORCING SHEET

For  some  Bin  models  a  shorter  reinforcing sheet  needs  to  be  added  behind the  opening  to  reinforce  this
area.  The  views below  describes  the  installation  procedure  and  the  chart  explains  which  Bins require  the 
reinforcing sheet.

 

- Remove some existing horizontal seam bolts from the wall sheet that receives the sidedraw outlet. 
- align and bolt the reinforcing sheet on to the wall sheet. 

 
 
 
 

 
 

-  Field  drill the  remaining  assembly  holes (13/32")  using  the  reinforcing sheet  as  a  template.  Install  3/8  X 

1.5" bolts and nuts 

- Cutout discharge opening using the retro fit sheet as a template. 
- Attach discharge assembly to outside and last baffle to inside.

7. Caulk around the retrofit sheet

8. Insert 7/16 x 1.5" bolts through the wall sheet and the retrofit sheet.

9. Field drill the remaining assembly holes (1/2") using the reinforcing sheet as a template.

10. Install 7/16 X 1.5" bolts and nuts.

11. Cut out the discharge opening using the retro fit sheet as a template.

12. Attach the discharge assembly to the outside and the last baffle to the inside.

Note

The side draw reinforcing sheet can be used for all applications where the flanged outlet is
penetrating an 8–gauge wall sheet or less.
