5.2.6 Baffle Installation Notes
When installing baffles, the flanges on the baffles will sometimes lay across the horizontal wall sheet seams and
come up against the protruding bolt shanks. By tightening the baffles there will be localized interference which
pushes the wall sheet outwards at this location. When this occurs, reverse the bolt to avoid interference.
1. For stiffened bins, 48' diameter and smaller, install 2 baffle angles (195476) per baffle as illustrated.
2. Some bins with side discharge systems must have extra wind rings installed. Consult bin installation manual
for location and quantity of wind rings.
3. Center all sidedraw components horizontally between uprights.

• Baffles must be oriented with the narrow end of the opening facing up as shown
Important
Orient the baffles with the narrow end of the opening at the top. Catastrophic bin failure could result if
the baffles are installed incorrectly.
