First steps

The following instructions apply in selecting the distance be-
tween electrodes:
• Optimum distance: about 2–6 in (5–15 cm);
• Less than 2 in (5 cm): Strongly stimulated surface tissue;
• More than 6 in (15 cm): Large, deep-lying areas receive
weak stimulation.
3. Press the edge of the electrode firmly with your finger and
lightly press the entire electrode so that full surface contact
with the skin is established.
4. Connect the connecting cables

with the electrodes
(see Fig. 1).
5. Hold the wire at the plug and insert into the upper

of the device as far as it will go (see Fig. 2).
