14.1 Performing cleaning

Disconnect the mains supply voltage before performing the work and ensure that
it cannot be switched on.
■
Verify that no hazards can be caused by electrically conductive objects.
■
Verify that all cables for the power supply are disconnected from power.

MISSING PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

equipment damage.
■
Immediately reinstall protective equipment that you may have removed to
perform maintenance work after having completed the maintenance work and
verify the effectiveness of the protective equipment.

Verify that the zone of operation of the moving product/machine parts is
safeguarded.

HOT SURFACES
The temperature of the motor and the holding brake can exceed 100 °C during
operation.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, and
equipment damage.

Avoid unprotected contact with hot surfaces.
■
Do not allow flammable or heat-sensitive objects in the vicinity of hot surfaces.
■
Before performing work on the motor or the holding brake, verify that you wait for
a sufficient period of time to allow such parts to cool down to a temperature that
allows for safe contact.
For cleaning of electrical components and additional components, respect the instructions in the
documentations of the manufacturer; refer to the applicable documents.
