Note
All the tests are performed on Interval Data, not Per Vehicle data.
Note
In the UK, if a vehicle occupies a loop for more than 1.9 seconds the MIDAS controller
sends a signal indicating that the lane has entered a HIOCC state. Due to the more
robust nature of the SmartSensor HD, the Click 516 will monitor the interval data and
when the speed is below a threshold and the occupancy is above a threshold the Click
516 will modify all incoming pre-vehicle speed data to change the duration to greater
than 1.9 seconds. Once the Click 516 receives an interval where the speed is greater
than the threshold the Click 516 will go out of HIOCC mode and allow the per-vehicle
data to be passed to the MIDAS controller without being modified.
The Click 516 utilizes the Click Supervisor software for user configuration. Communica-
tion between the Click 516 and Click Supervisor is easy to set up and use.
Physical Features
The Click 516 is based upon the Click 500 platform, so it has the same physical features as
the Click 500. The physical features are used for easy installation and configuration.
