CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
8.1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter provides the procedures to correct and repair faults detected during operation or
isolated during troubleshooting of SmartPlate EV Water Heaters. The procedures in this chapter
are divided into two sections:
•
Section 8.2
:
SmartPlate EV Corrective Maintenance
. This section provides cleaning
and corrective maintenance procedures for serviceable internal components, and
maintenance for major assemblies and components which come in contact with boiler
water or domestic hot water during Water Heater operation.
•
Section 8.3
:
SmartPlate EV Electronic Control System (ECS II).
This section provides
removal and replacement procedures for the internally mounted assemblies and
components contained in the ECS II Control Box.

Prior to performing any corrective maintenance on the unit, turn off the Control Box

power switch and disconnect AC power. Failure to observe this warning may result in
serious personal injury
.
